The Miss World Philippines finally declared the title to a pretty lady which was held at the Trent City in Manila Hotel last June 24, 2012. Amongst the twenty five lovely candidates that work hard and did their best to win the crown, it was a Filipino-Pakistani named “Queenierich Rehman” (Candidate no. 22) took home the Miss World Philippines title and the crown. Quenierich Rehmann, aged 23 years old from Las Pinas City, outdone the twenty four other candidates and will soon represent the Philippines in the “62nd Miss World” beauty pageant on August 18, 2012, to be held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. During the talent portion of the Miss World Philippines 2012, Rehman showed off her singing and beat boxing skills wherein the judges and crowds was so surprised and amazed to the talent she had done and received the special award for Miss. Talent. She also received other special awards from the beauty pageant contest such as Best in Swimsuits, Miss Pantene, Miss Photogenic, Miss AMA Beauty and Brain, Miss World Traveler and Miss Philippines Prudential.

The important thing that made Rehman won the crown was, aside from her beautiful looks she also have the intelligence. During the “Question and Answer” portion she impressed the judges with her best answer among the other candidates. Rehman was asked this tweeted question “As an ambassador of the Philippines, what are the best features of your country that you can project to the world?”
She gracefully answered “I believe that wherever you will go here in the Philippines, it’s not the islands that make us special but of course the Filipinos who have warm hospitality, who are having smiles on their faces, and of course who will treat all foreigners the love and respect, and hospitality that they can give to them. I believe that the Philippines is a country that we can be proud of.”
Rehman won One Million Pesos cash, Hyundai car and other prizes from the sponsors. The Miss World Philippines 2012 stands 5’7 and measures 33-25-34. She graduated at the Assumption College in Makati City, Major in Psychology and attended high school at Southville International School. During her schooldays, she was a varsity player in basketball and even became the “Rookie of the Year” in college. Her hobbies include basketball, internet surfing, singing, playing video games and cooking. In fact, she was a finalist in the Bb. Pilipinas Miss Universe 2011 and has received the “Best in Swimsuit.”

Question: Have you ever been bullied? What can you advise people who are often bullied?
Answer: Yes, I have been bullied back in my childhood days. And it just motivated me to prove those people wrong because I think if you have the dignity in yourself and the strong will that you can do things and people don’t think that you can, I think that’s what’s going to make you successful in life.
2nd Princess – Vanessa Claudine Amman
Question: If you were given the chance to travel back in time, what lesson of today would you tell the Filipinos in the past and why?
Answer: I f I had the opportunity to tell people of the past of the future today, I would tell them how proud I am that they kept their virtues and their respect for their family, and that even in this time, that is something we treasure. And that is why I wouldn’t change a thing because I appreciate the heritage, where I come from and am very, very proud of the Filipinos of today.
3rd Princess – April Love Jordan
Question: Do you think social media has made our society worse or better?
Answer: I believe that the social media has made our society better. It made us united easily. I believe that social media is a good influence to everyone and it is easier. It makes us more united and I believe that now, having social media, is one of the tools for us to be successful and for our country to be successful because we have news easily and we can all be united.
4th Princess – Brenna Cassandra Gamboa
Question: If you could choose one value that Filipinos should be proud of, what is it and why?
Answer: One valuable lesson when i first came to the Philippines is that Filipinos are very proud of who they are. That is one thing that I’m proud of. I am a Filipino. I am proud. Our family is always together.

Miss World Philippines is organized by CQGlobal Quest Inc. that sends representative for the London-based Miss World Pageant. The winner of the Miss World Philippines will become the Ambassador of Goodwill and will work with charities such as PGH Medical Foundation and Tuloy Streetchildren Village. The organization adopted the theme “Beauty in Giving.”Its first titleholder for the Miss World Philippines 2011 was Gwendoline Ruais, a Filipino-French from Muntinlupa, Metro Manila. She successfully the First Princess in the Miss World 2011 held at the Earls Court Two in London, England last November 6, 2011
